If Fire-Engines could talk…
Engine 1 is a vintage 1955 decommissioned fire engine.
Originating from Bournemouth England, it made the long journey to NSW. Engine 1 was initially stationed at Fairfield, not far from Bondi. It spent some years here helping the community.
Its ownership transferred from the NSW Fire Brigade to the NSW Rural Fire service.

Engine 1 then made the journey to Queanbeyan, on the ACT border, where it became a spare puffer, fire-engine.
Engine 1 worked with the ACC and was then retired.
This historic engine was then purchased by Warren, a highly qualified fire-fighter who has fought in numerous fire campaigns around country Victoria.
Warren now runs a family-orientated business, ensuring the history and stories of Engine 1 live on.
